4-9: Please check your grades. If you see anything unexpected (e.g., zeroes for homework you believe you turned in) please see me as soon as possible. Also, if your grade is lower than you'd like, you may wish to meet with me so we can discuss what problems you're having and attempt to fix them. I am here to help you (I get paid rather nicely for it, remember) so don't be shy about asking for extra help.
3-18: Due date for assignment 7 (Pruefer Correspondence) has been extended to Tuesday March 20.
3-2: Copy of email Vectors
2-15: The reference for output manipulators has been posted.
2-14: The tutorial on functions is posted. It will be revised and added to, and I will post the output-manipulator reference, as soon as possible.
2-14: I will be holding a review session on Thursday Feb. 15th at 7:00 in the Wade tutoring room (through the workout room). If you can't make it to that, Josh Ghiloni (the Fri. 3:30 recitation leader) is also having a review session on Thursday. It will be at 6:00 in Olin 314.
2-13: Sometime this week I will be posting a tutorial/reference on functions and also one on output manipulators. It will be up as soon as possible but please be patient because I'm busy with homework too.
2-12: The grading system is up. You can log in on the main course page. Please check your grade weekly to make sure that everything has been entered correctly. Let me know immediately if you think there's been a mistake. (If you wait too long, I get locked out of changing things, and I have to ask Joel to do it.)
2-12: Remember to turn in all the pieces of your assignment! Hard copies of source code and output, and electronic copy of .exe are always required. Before turning in your assignment, check to see whether design documentation and/or answers to questions are required. These things are worth points!
2-12: The test has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 20. We'll review during Monday's recitation; I'll also hold a review session at some point. Please let me know your preferences as to time and day. I think that Thursday the 15th, in the evening, might be best.
2-3: Some people have been having problems accessing their private folders on my computer. It turns out that Windows98 doesn't allow passwords longer than 8 characters - it automatically truncated them when I entered them. So right now your password is the first 8 characters of the password you requested - if you want to change it to something else, just let me know.
1-29: Copy of email Re: turning in assignments
1-29: Mass emails and answers to important questions will now be posted on the web.
1-29: Homework 2 has been updated to fix the error in the algorithm (formula for z) and the error in Question 3 (there was an extra parenthesis).
1-26: My computer crashed earlier today - I apologize if anyone tried and failed to turn in homework. This may happen in the future; you won't be penalized for late electronic copies if it's my computer's fault.
1-24: Homework 1 has been updated to specify the protocol for turning it in.
