| Recitation Leader | Amanda Rohn | I am here to help you. Don't worry about "bothering" me - if you have questions, ask! |
| aer8 | email is the best way to reach me. I usually respond within hours, if not minutes. | |
| Phone | x1709 | please don't call me unless it's extremely urgent. (I don't like talking on the phone.) |
| Dorm Room | Hitchcock 212 | you're welcome to stop by at any reasonable hour, although there's no guarantee that I'll be there |
| Office Hours |
Olin 703
Tuesday 12-1 PM and 4-5 PM and by appointment |
a very good opportunity to ask questions and get extra help
Note: I am always home on Monday afternoons from 3-4, so if my office hours don't work for you, you are welcome to stop by Hitchcock then. |
11/21/02 The string code we talked about in recitation is posted.
11/20/02 I have posted a reference for vectors; see References below.
11/14/02 The file and class code we talked about in recitation is posted.
11/07/02 The partial Card and Deck classes we talked about in recitation are posted.
10/28/02 On HW 8, I accidentally gave you the formula for sample variance rather than standard
deviation.
Please calculate BOTH variance AND standard deviation according to these
formulas:
variance = (sum from 1 to N of [(Xi - mean)^2]) / (N - 1)
standard deviation = square root of variance
10/10/02 My office hours have been changed; see above. If my office hours don't fit your schedule, remember that the other recitation leaders have office hours as well (list is here) and they will be glad to help you out. You can always email me with questions, as well. If you cannot come to any office hours and your questions are too complex for email, we can schedule a time to meet.
9/23/02 HW 3 has been updated to reflect the fact that you need to display commas if appropriate. Also, if you are experiencing errors where the displayed value differs by one cent from the entered value, COMMENT that fact but don't worry about it.
9/16/02 My office hours for tomorrow (Tuesday the 17th) will be moved up an hour to 11AM - noon.
