It seems that next week is Copyright Awareness Week. I don’t really have anything to say about that, except it seems a bit ironic that a web site promoting copyright and IP would have such crappy web design. Shouldn’t they have, like, artists and technically talented people available?

Wow, that is really crappy web design, and crappy html. Their sponsors look like an upstanding group, too — the sort that want to make you buy four copies of a dvd if you want to show it to four people in your household. (I exaggerate, but probably not by as much as I wish I was exaggerating.) Also, I’m really amused by the url of the graphics artist guild — gag.org.

Does this remind anyone of Orwell? Naming a copyright-endorsement event “celebrate creativity” is just like the Ministry of Truth (propaganda headquarters) and the Ministry of Love (torture chambers) in 1984. The high schoolers these days who have to write papers on that book must be having a field day, it is just too easy for them!
